Legal
Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Our infrastructure is for legitimate websites, applications and email. This policy describes what we do not accept — violation leads to suspension or termination.
Not allowed
- Illegal content or activity under NL/EU law
- Spam, unsolicited bulk mail, mass-mailing without opt-in
- Phishing, scam sites, fraudulent payment pages
- Distribution of malware, viruses, ransomware, exploit kits
- Copyright infringement (pirated software, illegal streams)
- Child exploitation material (we report directly to authorities)
- Harassment, doxing, threats, incitement to violence
- Cryptocurrency mining on shared hosting (allowed on VPS/dedicated)
- Activity that harms our network stability (proxy abuse, brute force, DoS origination)
- Sale of weapons, drugs, other legally prohibited products
Resource limits
Our "unlimited" plans are intended for normal use. Sites that structurally consume >25% CPU or >40% RAM of a shared server will be asked to upgrade to VPS. For mass-storage archives or media streaming we offer separate solutions.
- Maximum 500 emails/hour per mailbox
- Bulk mail (>50 recipients/email) only via our email marketing
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC must be configured correctly
Enforcement
We do not actively monitor content (no surveillance). But when we receive complaints or detect violations:
- 1st violation: warning with 72 hours to correct
- 2nd violation: temporary suspension
- 3rd or acute violation (malware, child exploitation): immediate termination
Report abuse
Have an abuse report on a Cernet account? Report it here or email [email protected]. We respond within 24 hours.
